History
Steki's Taverna which is situated in Brighton Seafront first opened in September 2006 after Brighton Customers' repetitive requests. You wouldn't believe that...but it is true! Steki Taverna in Portsmouth, already operating for 8 years with great success, attracted customers from all over England but mainly from London, Brighton and Southampton. People were amazed by the freshness and tastiness of our dishes as well as their authenticity and these people were mainly Greek! Give Greeks nice food and good wine and they will love you for that! They have a say: “Happiness always begins from our stomach!!! After considering the pros and cons the two brothers thought …...why not? And so they did, under different managements of course, you can see differences on the menus.
Steki's in Brighton opened on September 18th 2006 and on October 2006 we had our first review from Argus which was a complete lie and was written in order to keep many people away, it succeeded in a way although made some new customers curious on us and more willing to try our food by themselves in order to form their own opinion. Negative advertising do work sometimes positively. Despite that unfortunate event, we knew that our food was nice and most authentic, so we kept working hard to improve quality by supplying fresh and high quality ingredients among which vegetables, meat, Fresh Fish, Greek Feta Cheese, excellent quality olive oil, olives and Greek Wine.
